I LOVE CURRICULUM

Image
Previously, I was not fully understand what is curriculum? its importance? and its benefits? Previously, I said that it seemed just a dead documents tied together with words imprinted on them. Day by day, week by week, curriculum started to grow inside of me and I'm starting to get the gist of this subject. Assignment by assignment that I have completed let me see the content of curriculum. Curriculum that previously are complex and complicated to me, now, they are a system or a process that I have fully understand. Hopefully😌 MY ANALOGY EPISODE If I were to give curriculum an analogy, I would say that: If previously, my poster said that 'curriculum is the weapon in education'. "If education is the battlefield, curriculum is its weapon to win the battlefield." and "if curriculum is the weapon, teachers themselves are the strategist" After learning the subject for almost 3 months, I want to coined another analogy🙊 'Curri...

WEEK 11: THE LAST DANCE

Image
Dear PQI6004 The whole DPP semester is 12-week long and this is my eleventh entry which means that next week is the last class for us. I was terribly thrilled when they, my friends said that there will be a small feast on the 12th week of the semester. I can't wait to wait for that moment. As time goes by, the semester is coming to an end and the exams is waiting for us. Suddenly, I get cold feet 😓 As we have already passed up both assignments, this week, presentation session has been held. My group is the sixth group to present. We had presented both our curriculum comparison and lesson plans. Our group first presenter, Farah Hanum Our group second and last presenter, Nabila Farhana Our group presented the curriculum comparison between 5 countries  on history subject and our lesson plan also on history subject. WEEK 10: TOUCH DOWN & CAN'T WAIT!

Image
Today is the day where I touched down Malaysia through Kuala Lumpur and went back to Johor Bahru. My whole trip has become a history and all the beautiful, historic, beige-colored buildings are stored in my phone memory and my own memory. Surely,  Vienna and Prague are really beautiful. The Hofsburg Palace: The tale of Marie Antoinette Prague quoted as the most beautiful city in the world Eventhough I was on vacation, I did not forget to keep updating and finished my assignments including the curriculum assignments. Since my part was okay and did not need any improvement, I had fully focused my time on the lesson plan assignment. Everyday, after finishing the tour. I will take a bath and have some refreshments and then started working on my assignments. I was thrilled to find that I am actually able to finished the lesson plan assignment in the midst of my vacation. While I was touring Vienna and Prague I asked my groupmates on what is the topic learned today. They ...

Dear PQI6004, I am so so so sorry for not attending the class this week. My family and I went to the Eastern part of Europe, the classical Hungary, romantic Austria and scenic Prague. We planned the trip since one year ago and it will be a waste of money to cancel it. These are several great places that I want to share with youu😊 The Buda city, Hungary Cruising along the Danube River This week is the second and the last week to miss the curriculum class. I heard that Dr. Dorothy has won the University of Malaya Excellence Awards on the Innovative E-learning category. Congratulations Dr. You are the best! This week class was on the 'Pedagogies and Instructional'. Eventhough I was not in the class, I had asked my friends on the topic learned and googled it by myself. In addition I also read through my friends' blog to get the gist of knowledge that was learn this week.  Pedagogy is the word to describe the teaching style for children. It is cle...

WEEK 8: MY FIRST E- LEARNING WEEK

Dear PQI6004, How do yo do? This week is the E-learning week. For this whole week, only one subject did not practiced the E-learning and it is not this curriculum class. This was my first E-learning week. During my degree and foundation years, I have never experienced the E-learning week.  E-learning was never held and it was a whole new experience to know that UM practiced the E-learning week. E-learning week can also be known as a part of Flipped Classroom which was created to ease lecturers whenever they could not attend the class. In addition, being in a globalised world of 21st century, applying the great technology in education is a must. Thus, students will have experienced using the technology at maximum. Experience has always been the best teacher.    As Dr. Dorothy has told us about the E-learning week in advance, we have used this week's Friday as our Curriculum Discussion week. During this time, we discussed on each and everyone parts in the assignmen...
