WEEK 9: TAKING A BREAK & MISSING IT


Dear PQI6004,
I am so so so sorry for not attending the class this week. My family and I went to the Eastern part of Europe, the classical Hungary, romantic Austria and scenic Prague. We planned the trip since one year ago and it will be a waste of money to cancel it. These are several great places that I want to share with youu😊

This week is the second and the last week to miss the curriculum class. I heard that Dr. Dorothy has won the University of Malaya Excellence Awards on the Innovative E-learning category.

Congratulations Dr. You are the best!



This week class was on the 'Pedagogies and Instructional'. Eventhough I was not in the class, I had asked my friends on the topic learned and googled it by myself. In addition I also read through my friends' blog to get the gist of knowledge that was learn this week. 

Pedagogy is the word to describe the teaching style for children. It is clearly different to teach student of different age range. If the student is at young age, teachers should use the pedagogical teaching style while if the student is an adult, andragogy teaching style should be implemented. 

As I read through my friend's blog, for this week they learnt on the pedagogic identities . Generally, there are 5 pedagogic identities which are:



In addition, they also discussed on the blended learning topics by discussing in a small group.  The most interesting thing is that they had experienced the  this week seem to be the most interesting class ever. This is because Dr Dorothy bring along the Virtual Reality (VR) Glases Headset Gear.  
I was so sad that I could not experience it 😭 

Dr. Dorothy always include activities in each of her class session. Her class was never boring and very informative. Thank you Dr. Dorothy for always giving your best! 

Even though I was absent, but deep inside, I could not stop from worrying on the discussion session. I was taking a break, but missing them. all my friends and my assignments 😍

Dear PQI6004 The whole DPP semester is 12-week long and this is my eleventh entry which means that next week is the last class for us. WEEK 6: DIFFERENT MODELS OF INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGN

It has been the 6 th week of my DPP study, and I’m starting to understand every subjects that I have learn including you, PQI6004. In today class, Dr. Dorothy discussed the answer to the previous assignment. Out of 100, I get a 75%. Thank you Dr. Dorothy for assessing and evaluate my answer. Overall, Dr Dorothy said that my answer was good and I have considered the learner’s analysis. From her comment, perhaps, I think I have captured the main points of the Analysis phase in A.D.D.I.E. Model. After discussing the answer with the whole class, Dr. Dorothy continued the lessons with the Gagne’s 9 Events of Instruction. In this context, Dr. Dorothy taught us on how to create a lesson plan based on this model. In my opinion, Gagne’s 9 Events of Instruction is a very complete model. WEEK 7 : DR. DOROTHY REFLECTION ON OUR ASSIGNMENT

Dear PQI6004, Entering the 7 th week of me exploring the curriculum design subject. As weeks passed, day by day, I think that I have captured the gist of this subject. In my last blog, I’ve told you about the mid-term assignment on creating a lesson plan. I have created a lesson plan of a cell biology topic, mitosis. I’ve hoped to use this created lesson plan during my microteaching for PQI6023 : Cell Biology. This week, as usual, Dr. Dorothy started the lesson with the discussion on our lesson plan. She gave us the general comment. For this lesson plan assignment, I get 80/100. Dr Dorothy comments on my lesson plan are as below: Not enough the high-order learning outcome since the learners are form 4 student There are no questions included in the lesson plan Thank you Dr. Dorothy for the comment.
